在第一节课中,我们对小费文化已经有了基本的了解。谈到餐厅的小费文化,其实还要做一点补充,小费不是给餐馆的,而是给特定的服务员,作为对 TA 服务质量的奖励。一个餐桌会有一个特定的服务员负责,所以最后的小费也会给 TA。在这种文化下,国外的服务员可能就更热情,比如点餐前会跟顾客寒暄,点餐后有时会问顾客对菜品是否满意等等。所以这也来到了我们的另一个尬点:到底怎么跟服务员轻松自然地聊天和互动?还有一个尬点是点菜看不太懂菜单怎么办?最后可能还有一个小尬点,就是吃完了服务员会问你菜品味道怎么样,这个时候是实话实说,还是走走形式说几句客套话呢?快来听今日讲解,希望能帮大家像当地人一样老练地点餐,和服务员轻松互动。

1.餐厅的小费文化

a.不是直接给餐馆,是给特定的服务员

a.一般服务员会先跟顾客打招呼

b.如何回应

· We are doing very good. How are you?

· Doing good. How are you?

c.可以记一下对方的名字,对方会很开心,服务也会更好

3.餐前点饮料

a.服务员会先问一下要不要点饮料

· Can I start you off with something to drink?

· Would you like something to drink?

b.欧美人会先喝点茶或饮料,顺便看菜单

·饮料 beverage

·在欧洲可能会听到 With gas, or no gas?

·气泡水 sparkling water

4.餐前互动和“中场休息”

a.还在看菜单

· Are you guys ready to order, or would you like a couple of minutes?

· Would you like a couple of minutes to look at the menu?

· Can/May I take your order?

· Give me a minute to look it over.

· I need a couple of minutes.

b.“中场休息”

· How do you like the food?

· How's the food, everyone? Is everyone doing OK?

5.菜品分类和上菜顺序

a.菜品分类

·我们可能会分为:凉菜、热菜、汤、主食

·欧美人按照时间线来分:饮品 drink,开胃菜/头盘 appetizer/starter,主菜 entree/main course,饭后甜点 dessert

·不是每个分类都要点

b.如果不需要开胃菜/饭后甜点

· Would you like some appetizer?/ Would you like some dessert?

· Oh, no, thanks, not today.

c.上菜顺序

·国内一般是很多菜一起上

·国外一般是按照顺序上菜,这一批收了再上下一批

d.如果还没吃完,不需要撤

· Are you guys finished? Can I take this out of your way?

· I'm still working on it.

·面包和黄油 bread and butter

·面包皮 crust
